OMG Camelot!

I just watched the season premiere of Camelot on Starz and it was great.  Everything I hoped for and more (and longer than the free preview from last month!):

He-Man was so great in this!

But seriously, I’m pretty excited for this new series.  We ordered Starz just for this show and the free three months of Showtime.

See, pretty. The boys *and* the girls.

Everyone in this show is very pretty, but not quite my cup of tea.  Not like in Rome or the Tudors.  Okay, well maybe a little like Rome:

Marc Antony can travel through time and genre!
...to become King Hot. I mean LOT! KING LOT.
He could also be your skeezy drunk uncle.

Leontes is going to be an interesting character.  I like him.

<3 Leontes <3

I'm assuming this is what you call a "spoiler". FYI, not in the first episodes.
Cleans up nice!

While Googling pictures for this post, I found this:

One of these things...

Anyway, I can’t believe how great the first episode (episodes?) was.  How are they going to make each subsequent episode just as, if not more, full of awesome?

Sorry, Molly.  Your man Joseph is not my man.  Get your own blog.

  1. As I was reading this, I was wondering where the pics of my man were. You could have thrown me a bone and at least posted ONE!

I totally agree that Leontes is HAWT, but I didn’t like Lot as much. Perhaps it was the character. But I know you love the bad guy (can you say “Snape?”).

Kay is also pretty easy on the eyes, even if they haven’t given him much personality.

I still can’t believe you didn’t mention my Joseph. He only plays the second most important character in the King Arthur stories, Merlin! Hmph.

  2. I do love the bad guys and for the record, Snape was a GOOD GUY. I am not into the pretty boys as much as you are; maybe I like a certain amount of grizzle? Kay is okay but yes, no personality yet.

Again, for the record, I *mentioned* Joseph. And some would argue that Merlin is the most important character. He is the puppeteer though, don’t you think?

  3. Sure you mentioned Joseph at the end when you thumbed your nose at me LOL.
I’ve always liked the pretty boy, true. But he still needs to be manly. Does that make sense? No Justin Beibers (shudder). Even if I were 12 and still living in the 80’s where androgyny was the trend, I wouldn’t have liked him.

I agree that many would think the Legend of King Arthur is actually the story of Merlin. He’s a total puppet master! I noticed a couple of scenes where Arthur may not have been going exactly to “script” and Merlin was looking totally worried. Not worried for Arthur’s safety so much, but worried that Arthur might ruin his plans! That was my take on it anyway.

Btw, I think Leontes is going to die. Otherwise Arthur wouldn’t be able to be with Guinevere.
